When Fuck World Trade first came out, it seemed like almost everyone in this forum was drooling over LOC. Now, almost no one likes them anymore. That album loses its appeal very quickly.

i got a question, why does everyone only compare the same three bands when someone mentions the other? like choking victim or no cash or leftover crack? I heard of leftover crack, but why do you always them to the other ones.

the singer from no-cash made a cool hip-hop, dub group call The Mad Conductor.

anyway, they're called Lo-Cash band. 9th and C is the street in New York City where C-Squat (home of lo-cash bands) is located.

They're pretty hit or miss with me. I don't own any albums because I have too many mixed feelings. I DO love Heroin or Suicide and So You Wanna Be a Cop, though. They drop my socks and grab my throttle.

ok well you heard wrong.. NYC used to be very dangerous, run down, and infested with porn shops and strip clubs. its not like that anymore, it was like that in the 80's and MABYE early 90's.. but now its cleaner, safer, and modern that it has ever been. there are run down peices of **** places in EVERY city. even the 'stereotypical' harlem is safe.. its just like any normal part of the city. but its nicer, cleaner, and better than it has ever been probably and i think its a big misconception that its unsafe and full of crack addicts, because thats wrong.

I've loved choking victim and leftover crack for a few years and I don't see it getting old. Their new album isn't as good as Mediocre Generica but it stil has some awesome songs. What are Leftover Crack doing now anyway? I saw Stza play an acoustic set last year and I thought theyd broken up because the drummer died...

Harlem is a bad example.
They have the highest rate of homocide in the world still.
And I don't know about you, but have you ever walked through Harlem?
I definately wouldn't call it safe still.

But as for everything else, I agree.
My dad grew up there and said that Times Square used to be dirty and filled with adult entertainment.
Now it has the biggest teenage network and toy store in the world.
Oh, how times have changed.

highest rate of homicide in THE WORLD?? if you said a city int he US - the soudns believable, but not the world.. ive never been to harlem, but i know a few people from tere actually..

it is safe, the entire NYC is safe.. you're actually FROM new york too, i would expect you not to be like mislead that NYC is unsafe.. harlem is the complete opposite of what people generally look at it is.. sure its not the best part of the city, but people are actually moving back into harlem, the way it was back in the 70's.

the times square thing is true to the point that it was only like that during the 80's and mabye a slight bit during the 90's.. once rudy guiliani became the mayor he really changed the entire city. and times square is a tourist area.. i dont know where this 'teenage network' of yours even came..

and if you want to owe it to anyway, owe it to rudy guliani because he seriously helped NYC more than any other mayor

Anyone else find it odd he'd say saying Harlem has the highest homicide rate in the world is believeable, then goes on to say its safe?

to telex:

I never said I thought ALL of NYC was unsafe. Far from it. Earlier in this thread I even defended a post saying the city was run down and filled with crack addicts.
I probably got the Harlem part wrong and it only applies to the US, but the point still remains.
Rudy DEFINATELY did a lot for the city.
And by teenage network, I thought you'd realize I was referring to television network (MTV).
But while a majority of the city is much safer now, doesn't mean there aren't unsafe parts.
Maybe it's the stupid white suburban kid in me, but when I went to Harlem, I didn't feel safe.
My father grew up in the Bronx, and he told me how much the city has changed.
He says Times Square looks like a completely different place, and while parts like the Bronx and Harlem are MUCH better, they still need some work.

holy ****, this was the first major show i've been to. (i saw them in orlando with planned collapse and green goblin project.) and let me tell you it was ****ing insane. Planned Collapse was a pretty good crust band which lead a pretty awesome pit, green goblin project is a semi-local band which is ok, not my type. but LOC was ****ing crazy, it was the first time they have played "Gay Rude Boys Unite" live and the bassist kept knocking of Stza's beer. Ezra ended up getting pissed and walking off the stage because his gear kept on getting ****ed up... Started the show out with **** World Trade and went through about a 15 or 17 song set.. crazy pit, first time i've ever stage dived or crowd surfed. some really good ****. although i did bruise my back from falling on the wooden floor after slipping.

oh yeah, and some kid got so blitzed he had to be taken away in an ambulance before the show, and some drunk homeless guy was arrested for passing out on the street corner... good times!!

i cant wait till the next tour.

JohnnyNapalm
04-17-2006, 09:07 PM
So yes? Ezra is going to be on this tour?

KICK ASS! I won't have to hear Stza tuning a guitar in the middle of Rock the 40 Oz!

They are so much better when Ezra is there.

misfitsdisciple
04-17-2006, 09:12 PM
yeah they had all 5, stza is just sitting in the middle hopping up and down w/ his microphone and drinking his beer while ezra is doing the guitar and the other guy (blond haired guy who begins the **** WORLD TRADE song... im not sure of his name)

but it was ****ing off the wall, the show ended up being packed to the door, no room to breathe.

edit: and it was a wooden floor so it got really slippery really easily, we had to wipe it down after each set, but it was still great nonetheless.

edit2: only thing i was disappointed about was that the subhumans were only touring with them in the west and midwest or something, i didnt get to see one of my favorite bands (oh well, LOC is now one of my favorites)

Did World/Inferno Friendship Society stop playing with the Subhumans? They played with them when I saw them a couple weeks ago, great show. I kind of liked WIFS performance better than the Subhumans, it was great.

CowsWithGuns
04-17-2006, 10:27 PM
I went to see Subhumans just the other day. They came out for an encore and who should come out with them but Jack Terricloth himself and the Inferno's accordian player. He and Dick did a song together. Best show I've ever been to.

And yeah I think the Subhumans/WIFS tour is over. I don't see anymore dates with Subhumans on their web page.

i saw them yesterday....and...i don't know, i did like it but it wasn't as i thought it would be.they're were talking about the ****ing nazis who burned their van last time they came...and then this guy comes up to the stage telling he's the leader of the i don't know colorblinds i think ,and that they didn't do it and ****.....and stza almost pissed themselves.so yeah ...it was ok.and they played infested =)

Planned Collapse was a pretty good crust band which lead a pretty awesome pit
