I like the picked notes but not the chords so much, also are you playing this with or without distortion?

I like the riff. Not too bad for a first riff. It's good that it doesn't include any power chords.

CptMorgan, your signature if very annoying. Was that the goal? Either way, if you don't want people to think you're a turd bag, you should change it.

From the sound of the last two arpeggios, it would probably sound good either going into something A minor or E minor.
That's just my opinion, though.

Its his first riff, Give him a break?

It's alright for a first riff. Not my style but i would mess around and expand on it.

It's pretty ok for a first riff listen dude i really don't think u can make much from this but if u make an intro using the same key and then use this in the middle it wud sound good coz its really not much of an intro riff. its not bad for u'r first attempt just keep going.

I hate the F chord without the F note, but I like the picking.

Dude, this is a riff. No one uses solos in a riff, simply because it wouldn't be a solo. :duh:

This sounds good, especially for a first. I found it works best on a steel acoustic, with a capo in the third fret.
