I of course love me some Beefheart. Plastic Factory of Safe as Milk and Beatle Bones N Smoking Stones off The Mirror Man Sessions. This might be better placed in the bliues or classic rock forum by the way.

I'm not really sure--- he's the only person of the sort I listen to, I've only heard Ice Cream For Crow (the album) and a few other assorted songs. If someone wants to move this feel free.

You should really check out his best two albums. Safe as Milk and Trout Mask Replica. His genious really shines through on those.

I've heard a few of his songs. They're alright, their very original, which is good, but a little weird.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there's a Gods & Monsters disc coming out soon. Anyone know any more about that?

Trout Mask Replica is the biggest piece of crap-art I've ever heard. It baffles me anyone would make themselves listen to it. Do hipsters have a masochistic streak? C'mon, you know you don't really like it.

Safe as Milk, on the other hand, is actually quite good.
