you can never believe reviews. you always, ALWAYS have to see for yourself. a review is one person's opinion. you can't just read that and decide that they're right.

Indeed, TooL's probably my favorite band ever and a lot of reviews are whack. Some of the album takes a bit of getting used vocally/musical wise but the lyrics are as genius as ever. The drums are amazing and the guitar is totally upfront with awesome tone. Danny even plays electric drums on a track that just own up. Nobody should be disappointed in this album. But yes, it can take a bit of getting used to and awhile to appreciate, no matter who you are. Definitely buy it when it comes out though.

Go to the BIG Tool thread. Anyways, 10,000 Days is pretty good. I'd say it was worth the 5 year wait IMO.

I have every "intension" of buying the album.

it does take a lot of getting used to, and generally is kind of slower then their other stuff. But it's all balanced out by the heavier parts of the songs, its like meshuggahish. Maynard shows a lot of dynamics, like from extremely low evil tones to extremely high pitched mars volta like lines ( a la The Pot).

Buy this album, if you stumble across the leak, take a peak:)

i suggest "The pot", "wings for marie (part 1) and 10,000 days (wings part 2)" and "right in two"

"Jambi" is one I suggest, just because of it's kickass talk box part.
