Three w00ts for Stu Hamm. He's my fav.

wtf...

victor wooten, jaco pastorius, stanley clarke, stu hamm, les claypool and cliff burton are NOT bass shredders. sure all of them can play fast but they dont shred, and each of them play music to go with their genre, and rarely do play fast altho they can. (by fast i mean shredding fast)

tho Juan alderete (when with racer x), sheehan, and myung are my fav shredders.

You don't decide who's a shredder and who's not.

Quite right its a matter of opinion

but i know for a fact that they've never tried to be shredders, and they just excel at what genre their in, and they do it very tastefully.

and if its a matter of opinion, then why are you getting mad at my post? its my opinion that they are NOT shredders. period.

:hahaThats complete Bull**** my man!
I'm afraid I'll just have to go with Sheehan,Wooten and Pastorius for the simple reason that they're the only ones I've heard. I'm not up on Bassists. Any good recommendations?
