When oh when will these morons either accept that Green Day is pop rock (which is largely what the pop punk and emo forum is for)or come up with more compelling arguments than

1) everyone who disagrees with me is just trying to be punk
2) everyone who disagrees with me would say that they're punk if they weren't mainstream
3) pop punk has the word punk in it
4) but they write about politics!
5) all of you ****ing mother****ers just don't know **** about punk so **** off!

Seriously...It gets old.

Thats because some wanna-be-millionaire decided that they are pop-punk, not pop-ROCK.

Basically, these days pop-punk means that they're some sh*t-kid industry *****s who want to make a load of cash by trying to give themselves a rebellious image.

Punk was made for people to be original, anti-establishment, and to play for the sake of playing. Green day, simple plan, good charlotte, and the likes of them, do none of these things. Singing 2 mildly political songs won't make you punk.

And anyway, since when did a punk band write 90 percent of their songs as love songs, rather than hate songs?

F*ck off.
