hi, there i am thinking of starting a southern rock band. and i need some help on the genre. now i know alot about southern rock, or i wouldnt be starting the band. i just want to Know how the band should be set up?

what effects or tone should i use?
what instruments are in a basic setp or what ones would sound good?
should the name be a certain way?

use alot of acoustic guitar for rhythm. like maybe acoustic verses and electric chorus, stuff like that. when recording, try using a 12 string or record a 6 string and copy the same part over top and shift it just enough to add depth.

acoustic and electric combo is good. slide guitar is good. slightly overdriven warm tones are nice.

You need more than one guitar for sure. Two leads can help, because most southern rock relies on harmony guitar parts.
