FRESH FOOD for all tastes

The Misled Youth Network was created to tackle issues that young people of all backgrounds face including incarceration and institutionalization, drug abuse, mental illness, disunity, family problems, and an alienating education system. We believe that much of the potential that we as youth have to counter these problems lies in our different youth cultures -- hip-hop, punk rock, skater, and so many more. The first step we need to take in order to understand and learn from each other is to get to know each other.
So whether you're into MCing, playing music, making zines, creating graphic novels, fire breathing, simply curious or just fed up, come out and share your skills and enjoy the art and performances.

A $10 donation is requested to benefit the Misled Youth Network.
Receive a $3 discount if you bring a mix tape/CD, zine, or other gift to share
with someone who has never been exposed to the particular art form. All ages welcome. This is a message to all who are interested in helping to set up and participate in this event.

So far, confirmed performers include Choking Victim, Rabia, RICANSTRUCTION, The Black 100's, and members of the Hip Hop Project. The workshops will be held at Ofice Ops warehouse space in Brooklyn on Sunday, April 30th. We are looking for more performers, visual artists, and workshops presenters. We also need help with promotion, web development, silkscreening, food preparation, media and more.

Our first planning meeting will be taking place this Sunday at 7pm at 454 W. 35th St. ..2A2. Please get in touch if you're interested!
