Anyone heard any of the new stuff?

I quite like "History's Stranglers", but "****ty Future" isn't so great. They sound too much like the Wildhearts in it (vocal-wise).

Opinions?

Yeah it does sound very different. Not too disappointed with the sound, but it's not sounding as great as the first s/t and the EP. I did, however, enjoy the new Drips CD (has Matt/Joby in it from the Bronx), so you can't have everything.

well no doubt you guys probably have the album now as well. what do ya reckon?

i think they've lost the edge they had on the first cd. the songs were much punchier and seemed to be a lot catchier. i don't really like them delving into the poppier or softer territory either. the strobe life is an awesome song but the ones on the new album don't have those same dynamics.

Was thinking of getting it the other day, glad I didn't bother now, sounds like they went all crap. I'll just carry on listening to their first a lot, and if for some reason it gets shoved into the rest of the record collection again, on goes The Drips and Hour of the Wolf and they will tide me through till The Bronx pick up their game again.

Is it out in the UK? Thought it was out in August sometime.

History's Stranglers is a great track from what I've haerd.

Other than that, I've heard one track which sounded a lot like The Wildhearts. Too much, perhaps. But I admire their attitude in a way. Joby said they'd rather disappoint people than provoke indifference.

From what I've seen its only on import at the moment, so I'd assume not out here yet.
Why did they make it another self-titled? Or is there a name for one of the albums that I've missed?

^ The first one was just called The Bronx, wasn't it? I know it says White Drugs in big letters on the CD, but as far as I know that's the record label.

Anyway, the new s/t one isn't as good as the first, but I still like it.

^ Yeah, I'm pretty sure White Drugs is the record label as well...
The wikipedia page is wrong.
