j. casablancas, the strokes
Matt Bellamy!
Even when he's playing either piano or guitar, he still manages to sing with the most divine voice I have EVER heard.

Why don't you diplivers listen to 'Atmosphere' or '45' or 'Burning Bright'. Brent smith rocks.
Could any of your underground vocalist hit the notes that Smith does.ummmmm.....NO!!!!
^ I'm pretty sure quite a few [/understatement] vocalists could match those notes.

Freddie Mercury could.
And that dude from the Darkness could.
Also any Iron Maiden song will show you that Bruce Dickinson can.
Edit: THis is the modern wrong forum so...Whats-his-face from the Darkness could, forget the other two.

Would you consider Anthony Kiedis modern rock?

Well. I think it's pretty obvious that somebody doesn't know their rock. You try to sing some of Shinedowns songs (or all for that matter). And you try to sing your little fav.s. You can tell when somebody is really singing or they are just over-toning it. Brent Smith is the only one that doesn't overtone it in this thread

Maybe Jimmy and Glenn, but Cash (and as much as i respect the guy) couldn't sing to save his life, or play for that matter. He's only known for catchyness and melodys

whoever said no thanks to thom york is a dumbass, he's easily one of the greatest vocalists of all time....
i would choose either thom york or cedric bixler-zavala for the best vocalist some of cedrics work in At the Drive In is just insane how he can scream so very well and then in the Mars Volta it's just amazing that he can sing that incredibly high...

Did you see his performance on The Late Late Show a few weeks back? Guy was about to pass out from shortage of breath. Shouldn't be "overtoning" ;)
He's good, but best vocalist is either MJK or Chris Cornell (back in the days).
