I decided to make one more enveloping with less emphasis on personal preference. These are not necessarily songs that I have been digging, but upon listening to them I can?t help but think: ?Someone else should listen to this.? They spread across completely disjointed genre?s as well.

1. The Buffalo Skinners ? by Pete Seeger (Folk)
A song indicative of the lost men, the mercerism, and the hardship of Industrialization America. A strange guitar melody and vocals that somehow in my mind conjure images of men and women of long ago, their faces neutral without smile, the song not so.

2. Space Loneliness ? by Sun Ra (Jazz?)
Sun Ra, apparently born from an angel race inhabiting the planet Saturn, came to earth to spread his cosmic philosophy through spacey wacked out Jazz. This song is a prime example of what not using drugs to influence your songs can do for you?. wait what? Yes, I ask myself: ?How could a man of abstinence conjure this inhuman acreage of sound.? When I subject myself to this subtle yet pleasuring audio torture I think of black holes, far off planets, and the beauty of space emptiness inhabited only by staticy 1950?s space exploration movie projections. Oh, and this: I think of this: http://www.pa.uky.edu/~shlosman/anim/M16_SF_Eagle.gif or http://www.astrocruise.com/m16.jpg

3. John The Revelator ? by Son House (Vocal Blues)
Son House, an old blues favorite. But yes, blues does go back farther than even Son. It all began when a slave tried to whistle, but his mouth was dry and weak and full of soot. So in his desperation he gave out a howl and blues began. Well actually it probably didn?t go like that, but basically blues began with the voice and this track is a prime example of how Kunta Kinte might have sounded whilst he pulled wagons and admired Fiddler?s shiny head.
