Is it really going to happen this time or is this just David Lee Roth blowing smoke? I mean, he just failed his radio career, he could just be trying to keep the media spotlight on him a little while longer so he can salvage his musical career. I'll beleive it when I see it.

Meh, he's blowing smoke up his ass. No one wants to see him anymore, no one cares. He's a cocky arogant sterotype lead singer and Van Halen don't need him. VH could tour with ****ing garry Cherone and they would still sell out stadiums cause it's ****ing Van Halen!!!!

Meh they've been saying stuff like this for a while, a few months ago Dave and Alex started talking again which is pretty big, but its doubtful they'll get back together again.

You're a tit, DLR's shows sell more than any VH shows nowadays and especially when it was Van Hager. ALL lead singers are cocky and arrogant, get used to it. And to say Van Halen don't need him is a pile of ballsacks seen as after he left the band record sales went down and they had to bring in the services of a Big Mac Lookalike to sing for them.

i think it would be great if dlr was back, van halen would kepp playing the good time party music that they started with,

as for concert sales, who cares!?!?!?! they all have money anyways, ed pulled in a bunch from his 5150 amps and the wolfgang, he could sell a banjo with his name on it it would sell, plus all the money saved up from vh tours +cds, they all have enough money, if they are gonna tour, itll be for fun...

just kidding i truly love the stones and its awesome, there still around, but seriously, dlrs return would be the best thing to happen to =VH= sice the 1984 album. van hagar is great, and so is sammy solo, but theres nothin' like a good dlr voice crack...

Not exactly Joe Elliot from Def Leppard isn't I now.

It was moved from Classic Rock, and the classic Van Halen to which this thread is discussing released all of their albums before the classic rock year cut off of 1985, hence the album titled 1984 being the last VH album with DLR on it. :)

Before the classic rock year cut off of 1985?

Riiiiiiight...

Disagree... VH belongs here, and nowhere else. Integrally.

Well most VH fans actually disagree, hence the HUGE threads on VH that the classic rock forum has been rather famous for. But seen as they also fit into this category, I'm not gonna dispute with you.

Most hammet fans think he's a brilliant guitarist... (in the objective technical sense, before we start THAT argument)

He ment that what the fans think isn't automatically true.

DLR also said he wanted to tour with Vai and Sheehan again, but it was all talk.

Sweet sweet sweet!! Can't wait until it's official, since I've heard these rumors before.

Just so long as they have energy left in them. Really don't want disappointment like I got from the Stones. They're so old their singer's gone monotone.

I really wanna see them live. It's been my dream ever since I'm heard them. I'd give anything except my life to get to one of their concerts.

I sure hope not, they've lost it. I got their Best of Both worlds CD that had a couple new tracks, and one of them was about breakfast and eating waffles and bacon or some shit like that? Whatever.

haha, I'll never forget the look on my brothers face when I popped that in. "Up for Breakfast" sucks bad..."It's About Time" was mediocre. Cool riff.

Sammy Hagar cannot write lyrics for his life.

Fu noob. I have a problem with everything because I'm so incredibly fast. Like my amp's tubes can't pick up my extreme playing, nor can my keyboard pick up my extreme typing.

Van Hagar did have good tunes...they were just two different bands. If you can learn to look at them that way, its better.

Believe it or not, a few days after I did Eruption for my school talent show, I was talking to this emo kid about it. He said that his band's guitarist could do it WAY faster than me. In fact, he said he could do it so fast that the kid's amp couldn't play the notes fast enough. :haha He was dead serious about it too.

Yeah I probably wouldn't go to a Stones concert.

They're way too washed up in themselves, and were never that great anyway IMO.
