What a shrill and pointless decade.

I found it pretty interesting. The footage of Jimi at Monterey was great, too. There are going to be a couple other installments, though. The next one is on tonight. The episodes just progress through the decades up until (I'm assuming) the 90s. I'll be tuning in.

No, my friend. THIS is a shrill and pointless decade. The 60's was pure magic.

And why is Joplin's death listed in the preview for tonight's episode? Didnt she die from drinking too much SoCo?

any time more people vote for a game show then for our president, shows exactly how shrill an dpointless this decade is...

I missed last night's episode, but I think it will finish up with the 60's and go into the 70's.

I think the 80's episode is going to be the most interesting.

She did. She had been drinking that night too, but I don't know that it contributed any.

Anyways, I saw the show and enjoyed it. I can't wait until the other installments.

I thought it was extremely informative. They decided to take the middle ground, showing the pros and cons of the counter-culture, and explained how the current issues impacted the counter-culture.

Its amazing how brainwashed people were then over the drug culture, and these stereotypes still exist today.

Didn't make me feel quite that way, though I definitely agree, on some level, which is interesting, considering how many times I've been called a "hippie." People and their stereotypes...

I forget who said it, but I was very intruiged by someone discussing how no body really cares under what circumstances art is made (i.e. under the influence of drugs), just that it is made, and that it's good. Or something to that effect.

yeah the first one dealt with them and how they, along with coltrane and a number of other jazz musicians, contributed to the progression of drugs. Pretty cool, though I don't know if they discussed them enough, though then again lsd was so big it took precedence. Kerouac is sweet though!

huh, just watched the last episode. I have to say the program was pretty well put together. I especially liked the last one, though they all were good. The music was one of the best things about the program, it really went well with the drugs they were documenting.

This has to be one of my favorite VH1 productions, right along with I Love the 70s
