boss DD-6

-or-

digitech digidelay and save some cash. they're pretty much even on all terms.

boss-dd6 (dd-3 even, if youre not picky about extra options), or the line 6 DL4 (might be a bit more expensive i think)

the boss dd-3 or dd-6, it all depends on how much delay you want. you could probly get a used giga delay for that price

the digitech digidealy is pretty much the EXACT same thing as the dd-6 but about $60 cheaper.

dd-3 is pretty awsome. like the guys above said, it pretty much comes down to how much delay you really want to use.

:peace:

Honestly no i dont But im sure if you check the site his gear is probably listed. But in actuality you could use any of the for mentioned delays and be fine as they are all pretty good and could handle the job you are intedning it for. Though my personal favorite is the Boss DD-3

As i see in your sig you seem to be a fan of Digitech so i say to follow suit just get the digidelay i dont consider it to be as good as The Boss pedals but its cheaper and still pretty decent.

just a question. with any of the boss pedals are you able to create spaceship sounds? (fans of yngwie malmsteen will know what i'm talking about) i know with one of the ibanez tone-lok pedals when you crank the pedal all the way you get the crazy self oscilating sounds that sound like flying saucers.

well im selling my pedals to a friend, bc i dont need em now. i get enough crunch from my JMC900 for punk, and my old band broke up so there is no need for all that. ok ill check the site and if not ill ask someoen else. thanx

ya if your selling your pedals i suggest the Boss DD-3 my fav.

And as for the Spaceship thing dude i have no idea good luck with that

EDIT i did some quick research and came up with this he uses a synth processor so that explains his weird sounds

http://www.yngwie.org/Gear.htm

It Has his whole rig

yeah i know that he uses a roland space echo for it. but those are too expensive. anyway sorry for hijacking your thread dude.

would the DD3 or DD6 suffice for that sound tho.....sry n00b question

i have a DD-6 and can get pretty good spacey stuff
i set my reverb up high, put the delay on max on the 300ms setting, some overdrive, add a phaser if you really want to.
alot of the spacey sounds have to do with picking style
doing staccatto notes to accentuate the delay and doing stuff like pick scrapes.

just mess around with it

bends, scrapes behind the nut, bends behind the nut, if you can get a volume pedal, you could use that too for dynamics and stuff

if you get a decent delay like a DD-3 or DD-6, you should be fine

and mine doesnt color my sound too much

i just use the crunch on my amp. so just get a DD-6 and turn my reverb all the way up?

Go with a Line 6 DL-4. You could probably get the same delay an on top of that, it's easily the best delay pedal out there right now. 16 different delays and a 14 second loop feature. If you wanna save some money, go with a Boss DD-6. But if you spend the extra $50 on the DL-4, you will NOT regret it. It comes complete with filter effects and if you set the delay time on zero with the filter on, you can get some shallow filter effects.

The DL4 is good but theyre EXTREMLEY unreliable and its actually $100 more than the DD6..

i was looking at the DD6 and its got some good reviews.

the only thing i dislike about the DD-6 is how long it takes to turn it on and off if you want to use tap tempo.
you have to hold for 3 seconds to turn it on, and then 3 seconds to turn it off. makes it a pain if youve got parts of a song with delay and parts with out

if you want the DD-6, get the digidelay, it's the EXACT same thing but a lot cheaper. they're practically identical except the digidelay is wired better.
