I am a huge Tool fan myself and I just want to know what other think of the band. I like to believe their are few bands than can produce the sound (Let's just call it Progressive since this is the prog rock forum). But what really defines them as prog rock in everyone ele's eyes.

Also, let's post your favorite tool song/favorite moment in a song etc.

I'd have to say Lateralus (especially at about 7:22-End)
Jambi-Sweet talkbox solo (Adam has finally stepped up in his skill)
Right In Two-The Tambala solo and the following breakdown

Well, there is an only Tool thread in Modern Rock, although I agree that they're progressive.

Favourite moments:
Aenima ('But I'm praying for tidal waves' etc.)
the Grudge ('Let go let go let go let gooooooo'.)
Vicarious ('Lalalalalalalie')
Jambi the solo :)
Right in Two (right before it gets heavier)
The Pot (the part without vocals)
10,000 days ('Judith Marie!')

Make of them what you will, but there's a reason there's an only Tool thread...

And there's also a reason why it's named the ONLY Tool thread... Please use it.
