TheHeartbreaker
06-21-2006, 02:55 PM
^^My friend's dad's band played with Foghat not too long ago. They also toured with AC/DC as their opening act.

Anyways, I'm dissapointed to say that I've only seen The Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

In no way were either of the concerts bad - they were both spectacular, but I wish I had gone to more.

If I had only gotten into Classic Rock sooner I probably would have seen a lot more bands because my dad has seen so many live acts.

I believe I'll be seeing The Allman Brothers Band again this year, but on top of that I'd like to see Eric Clapton, Phil Lesh and Friends, and whoever happens to come by.

Did u go in New Jersey?
That was such a kick ass concert!

BrainDamage
06-21-2006, 06:05 PM

^^BrainDamage, do you know if Yes is actually going to be touring in '07 or are you just saying that you hope the do?

As far as I know, they aren't "the lineup" that most of us love so much, but it's Yes, so if they did come around again I'd see them without a doubt.

Nice. Yeah, I think New Yorkers are given bad press but we're all a lot nicer, especially since 9/11, and everyone's all "we're in this together, be nice" :D
I wish i could say the same for long islanders, to which i now belong  either white-trash or asshole guidos (im italian but some people give the race a bad name), everyone thinks they're so cool because they live 40 miles from the city....

They are playing the 27th.. tickets might be sold out but I think i got mine for 40?

^^ Nah man... no need to be sorry, its completely true. Every wealthy white kid this side of Great Neck feels the need to act 'tough' by wearing a sideways hat with the flattened brim and huge baggy clothes made for people that are 10 times their weight. Not to mention the whole "popped collar" phenominon that goes on... ugh

:haha its nothing like that... New York is still suffering from the bad image it had in the late 70s, that was really bad then. The murder rate and theft and arson rates and stuff are down like 50% or way more since like the late 80s when Mayor Koch and then Guliani started cleaning up the city...NY is so great compared to a lot of other cities that never had to be cleaned up so desperately that now they're suffering when NYC isn't.
(Manhattan, that is. Brooklyn & the Bronx still need a bit of...help.)
