I've looked all over the place for a riviera with a natural finish, but i can't seem to find one anywhere! Any help with where i could find one, like a website or something would be much appreciated.

This is kind of irrelevant, but I'm guessing you want one because you're a Nick Valensi fan? I see the Strokes avatar, so it's an assumption.

They're hard to find. Especially with Humbuckers. I ended up buying a Casino instead. Look on eBay for Rivieras. How much are you willing to spend? You can just get his signature Riviera if you're willing to spend over $1000.

well here is my suggestion. I have this:

AND NO SHE ISN'T FOR SALE. But I got it off ebay for $400ish including shipping. It is a 92 I think ( I can't remember). You could get one of these and strip it and clear coat it for pretty cheap. And you'd have a Riviera in blonde. If not, keep it red, it sounds just as good. I LOVE this guitar.

Oh, and consider putting a 490R/498T combo pickup on it.

I formerly owned two casinos, and while they are fun guitars, and much lighter, they sound NOTHING like the Riviera.

Yeah, they sell Nick Valensi Rivieras. It's not easy to find a Riviera under $1000 unless you go the ebay route.

lieutfunaki has another one Nick uses, except Nick has the Frequensator tailpiece and Gibson p94's instead of the Bigsby and humbuckers. There's a decent amount of cherry Rivieras with mini-hb's on eBay.

Why not just buy a Riviera, and then sand it down, then put a clear coat finish on it, and bam, you've got a natural Riviera.

Personally I think the Epi mini hb's are aweful, but RHCP agrees with me on this one. Get a red riviera and have it stripped of its finish.

I'll be selling a Jorma Kaukonen Riviera in the near future if you are interested...but it will be red and with gold hardware.

^Do what I said before, sand down the finish, then apply a clear coat of laquer to it and you've got one.

I have a 1970's epi riviera in Red with humbuckers and trapazoid inlays. Only made a couple of years. Let me know, I may part with her.
