I laughed pretty hard at that one. Iron Maiden usually has some great riffs, and I like any AC/DC one.

I think that holds more true than you think. Just because it isnt a complex riff doesn't mean it can't change modern guitar, or that it isnt good. First off it sounds good/catchy, I'll give them that. and it came out in what, 95? look at all the songs after that, they start out with an intro, go to a punk verse, and have a harmonized chorus.

Almost any riff off of "Ashes of the Wake" by Lamb of God. And how come no one has mentioned Slayer yet, pretty much any riff from "Reign in Blood" or their other works are pretty much in one word, sex.

As for my 'tallica selection, everyone sais MOP. So hrmmm...Orion and Damage inc hare damn good.
