There are happy acoustic songs?

Hey Ya by Outkast has a nice, simple chord progression and is pretty upbeat. Wild Wood by Paul Weller is harder but you might like it. And of course more or less anything by Jack Johnson will do you just fine too.

I personally like the acoustic version of "Pressing On" by Relient K and "At the Bottom of Everything" by Bright Eyes.

rollin' and tumblin' off of eric clapton's unplugged album. its in open G and you need a slide. its blues so i wouldnt say its happy, but its upbeat and fun to listen to.

Check out Neil Young, Jack Johnson and Ben Harper, especially Ben's slide stuff if you want to use an open tuning.
