Was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what the hell is wrong with my guitar. My 14th fret keeps fretting out when I bend it... and well I bend a hell of a lot so I definately need to fix this. Its a Fender Strat with Vintage Style Synchronized Tremolo. Thanks in advanced.

Try raising the action?

If thats not the problem maybe you have a warped neck which could possibly be giving you the buzz. Try to go and see a pro about this problem.

I think I know what he means, when you bend up, the sound wil totally cut out.. My friends guitar has the same problem in a different fret.. the solution they told him is he needs to have the fret filed down some..

this can often happen when the action is set to low, this is is because of the slight arch on the fretboard which im assuming your nick has.

Actually its only the High E that buzzes out forgot to say that high E on 14th fret is the only string that does this.

Yeah, that's correct. Fretting out is the right term.

OK, what it is is an interaction between your action and the bow (relief) in your
neck. You can raise the action, but generally I prefer to adjust the truss rod in
this situation. What you need to do is loosen the rod a bit. Probably about 1/8
to 1/4 turn will do it. Loosening the rod allows the string tension to bow the neck
a bit more. You can also try heavier strings -- maybe go to heavy bottoms. That
might fix it too.

Yeah I have no idea what is causing this. I've had this guitar for 6 years and I've never dropped it or anything and I never leaned it against the neck so its kind of weird. I'm going to jam with this older guy on Tuesday so I'll mention what ya said about the truss rod and strings... till then I'll just go to the 15th fret when I do a 1 1/2 bend on it ha ha...
