I've been a Demon Hunter fan for years, I saw them on the Undying Tour and loved it. Definitely not your average "screamo band." Not to mention their songs have great messages in them.

I am a fan. I have been a fan since their self-titled release, they are the band that got me into heavy music. I saw them on the Undying Tour. It was a really good show with a really good line-up. The only band that didn't really belong on the tour was Spoken. But that's just my opinion.

Definitely not your average "screamo band."

That might be because they're not a screamo band, it makes sense when you think about it. Same way Black Flag aren't a celtic dance band because they don't play celtic dance music.

Are you serious? Theyre no where near nu metal, they are just metal, but I think I would get flammed by the elistist for putting this in the metal thread

^ .....There is a reason you would get flamed by putting this in the metal thread.

Anyways, Demonhunter is THE band that got me into heavier music. I still like Ryan Clark, but the rest of the band pretty much sucks imo.

What a gay name for a band. I only listen to bands with death, blood, or red in the title.

they're good, okay...you call them a lot of things from nu-metal to hardcore, but all I care about is the music

I personally love them. I heard Infected along time ago and liked it alot. And I bought The Triptych this past christmas. Good stuff imo. (And that's really saying something, considering they're one of like 4 hardcore/metalcore bands I like.)

StuartR
10-20-2006, 07:18 PM
I don't think you could call them hardcore :-/

Everyone nitpicks about genres... they have some hardcore and nu-metal influences, although they are mainly metalcore, okay...is everyone satisfied? ;)

You can't just call a band whatever you like. They might be influenced by Hip-Hop too but you couldn't just say thy are Hip-Hop.

I thought this was going to be one of "those" threads when I first came in here...

The first song reminded me of the Zombie EP, except with boring riffs.

I have to say that I love these guys, but I am simply astounded that such an old thread was brought up with such a basic comment even though the album has been out for over half a year. Whatever...
