**** I forgot Part IV. REMIX is good, better than the original, but I can listen to the others more than I can listen to that.

Fcpremix annoys the crap out of me now because the way people eat it up when the original is better and it wasn't ever that great to begin with

but yes a amazing band thomas is a amazing writer he writes pretty much everything

They're post-hardcore if I'm not mistaken. Anyway I've heard FCPremix and the original, I Just got this symphony goin' and Ghostship part I and I'm liking what I hear.

I like The Circus that brought us back to these nights, and spartacus.

edit-THEY ARE NOT POST HARDCORE. THEY ARE FUKING PROGRESSIVE. THEY PLAY ON THE EDGE OF METAL.

Progressive isn't a genre.

Who says post-hardcore can't be progressive though?

kryptonite22
10-03-2006, 05:11 PM
^ well exactly. post-hardcore is surely progressive in some way anyway, because it comes post-hardcore, i.e. after hardcore, generally involving experimentation or being that bit different

)Eric(Draven
10-03-2006, 05:41 PM
I sort of think Progressive is just a tag on a band in a certain genre, but, it's an important enough tag to be incorporated when stating the genre.

Any band can be apart of any genre and be considered progressive. For example; The Mars Volta, Dream Theater, and Converge are apart of different genres of music, but most consider all of these bands progressive.

The Fall of Troy is very much a post-hardcore band with progressive elements.

KingsOfRonin
10-03-2006, 06:05 PM
i dunno..i dont think theyre just posthardcore, they definately have elements of alot of different genres...theyre metal in some parts. I honestly dont see post-hardcore though. Theyre definately hardcore though. Ive just been classifying them as hardcore progressive experimental.

frd_marshll
10-03-2006, 06:19 PM
i agree with Eric they are pretty much a post-hardcore band with progressive elements

but i don't think they have anything to do with metal

EmO_RuleZ!!
10-03-2006, 07:26 PM
they're progressive with influences in post-hardcore. it's not like everything progressive has to sound the same, i mean, that's why it's progressive and everything.
