Ok, welcome to UG. For those of you who are new to the site let me introduce you to some of the things UG has to offer. Hundreds of tabs, reviews, music information, and so on and so forth.
The Forums
The forums are basically a place where you can ask questions on acoustic electric guitar, ask to crit a song you wrote, post a cover or an original recording you recorded, etc. and then there is The Pit. The pit doesn't really have a topic, you can basically talk about anything, as long as it isn't racial, doesn't have porn or anything porn related, advertising, spam/pointless unrelated topics, etc. However ask what is appropriate in the correct forums.

How do I edit my information about me?
Click the highlighted link that says "User CP"

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/UserCP1.jpg

Then click the highlighted link that says "Edit Profile"

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/Editprofile1.jpg

The from there scroll down and fill out the information that is asked

How do I edit my avatar?
Click the highlighted link "user CP"

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/UserCP1.jpg

Click the Highlighted link "Edit Avatar"

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/EditAvatar1.jpg

Then click the animated icon that you would like to use by clicking the circle bottom right corner of the animated avatar you want to use

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/EditAvatartwo.jpg

If you want to use a personal picture of an avatar then scroll down and click "Browse"

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/EditAvatarthree.jpg

Then a "Drop Box" should appear that looks like this

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/EditAvatarfour.jpg

Find the picture you desire to use as your avatar and then click Open. Remember the maximum size of your custom image is 50 by 50 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller). So you may have to edit the picture and then resave it as 50X50 and then upload it.

How do I change my profile picture?
Click the highlighted link "user CP"

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/UserCP1.jpg

Your profile picture is a picture users will see when they view your profile. Click the highlighted link

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/profilepicture1.jpg

Then click browse

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/EditAvatarthree.jpg

and it's the same process as uploading an avatar. However the maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 97.7 KB (whichever is smaller).

How do I quote?
When someone says something that you would like to quote go to their comment box where they posted their quote. On the bottom right corner there will be a square that looks like this

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/Quote1.jpg

Click on it and reply back to that person saying what ever you feel like saying to them about their comment/post

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/sigtwo.jpg

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/sigthree.jpg

How do I delete/edit a thread/post I have made?
To delete/edit a post, go to your own post and then on the bottom right corner of the comment box click on this

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/editpost1.jpg

Then to delete click on the circle that says "Delete this thread/post". Then click the rectangle below it that says "Delete this message/thread"

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/Dylangeorge123/UG/delete1.jpg

To Edit your post, scroll down on the same page to where you see what you originally posted and then save what you revised.

Reporting

In the forums if you see some one posting porn, spamming, flamming, etc. a good way to let the mods know is to *report* them

http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/1255/report1gm3.jpg
http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/2353/report2bl2.jpg

Changing amt. of post per page
This bacially means how many post you can allow on one page

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d91/fungus0304/postperpage.jpg

If you have any questions post them here so that way the New Members Forum doesn't get spammed and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible
Also if there were any grammar mistakes I made please let me know so I can correct them, thank you.

Nice.

There should be a key on your keyboard saying Print Screen or Prt Sc or something

Hit it, open up paint and push Ctrl + V

voila, screenshot.

haha wow. my pictures make an appearance.

and i personally would crop a few of those pictures. especially the taskbar. but priorities, the screenshots are more important.

the screenshots should be cropped (seeing the browser or anything not relevant to what you are trying to describe is a waste of space). there are also some grammar/spelling errors/typos that need to be fixed. run the text through a spell-checker or something. looks pretty good though.

haha you didn't actually crop it, what you can see now is good but you need to remove all the white space from around it :)
few errors:
'ect.' should be 'etc.'
'apperroite' should be 'appropriate'.
'save what ever your revised' should be something like 'save whatever you revised' or 'save what you have revised'.
'some one' should be someone.

sorry if i'm being picky but this should be as neat and make as much sense as possible :)
don't worry about pm'ing me about this, i check this forum plenty and i'll see when you have changed anything.

no its cool, i dont mind. Um when you say i need to remove the white space inbetween, do you mean the space inbetween the pictures and text when i cropped out the tool bars and where are white spaces inbetween?

Look at the first pic.

See the big white gaps top and bottom?

You deleted the toolbars etc., but didn't make the pictures smaller, that's what she's talking about.

How do you post an image on a thread that allows it.
From your computer, or from internet. Tell me how to both if you can please.

Hi
I signed up at the ug forum today, and I wonder: is there any mini-guide that shows u what for example this means?:
(FONT=garamond)Some thing that u would like to say(/FONT) or this:
(I] [/I) and how to use it in a combination, for exempel if u want both blue letters and another letter style? Is it the same "language" that is used when creating websites?
I'm a little bit nooby at this so I would be glad if u could create one or, if it allready exists, show me where. Thx anders
