No, it's not up to you. There's only one right way to say it. It's not epiphany.

cache is pronounced "cash" like money cash.

and epiphone I'm almsot positive is "epi fone" Because "eh piff oh nee" is an actual word "epiphany" and I really dont' think that gibson is so stupid to name a guitar company after a word that means a sudden realization of something.

According to the company’s history, Epiphone was started by Epaminodas "Epi" Stathopoulos. The name of the company was derived by the following formula:

"The name "Epiphone" is a combination of proprietor Epaminondas Stathopoulos' nickname "Epi" and "phone" (from Greek phon-, "sound"/"voice")."

Do a Wikipedia search on it.

Takamine is a Japanese proper name and is pronounced "Tah-kah-me-neh"

As far as; "it is pronounced Gibson"... goes, if you are a "have yachts", this is true. However, if you are in the have not so much, you can buy a cheap Gibson or a decent Epiphone and do OK. Always keep it in mind that a lesser guitar, played well, still sounds better than the most expensive instrument played poorly...

I was just wondering the same thing. I was saying it in my head like epiphany, then I watched a youtube review and the guy said ep-uh-FONE. Obviously it makes more sense, but I like the way epiphany sounds more.

What a stupid bump

cheap crap
I'd like to heavily contest this

compared to their parent company (and quite a number of other ones) they are pretty damn good. Gibson has become overpriced with next to no quality control and a moderate quality Epiphone shits over a lower end Gibson.

They're really not that bad, unless you buy the lowest end products, eugh.
