Ive just learnt eugenes trick bag by steve vai, which if you've heardit, it is just guitar!

So i was wondering if any of you lot know any other songs that you can play on your own where you dont need a band, thanks.

P.S- Im not sure if this is the right section for this kind of question, but as steve vai is a shredder it was th best one I could find.

look towards the fingerpicking genre with the likes of tommy emmanuel. He play tunes that only need a guitar.

well im not sure if its the right section either but i kow steve vai is generally ALL guitar. he has a few songs where he has vocals but for the most part they are just instrumental.

but yeah there is
Steve Vai
Joey Satriani
Yngwie Malmsteen
Some of John Frusciante's solo stuff

thats all i can think of right now but i will let you know if i find anymore.

No, what I think he means are songs that have no drums, bass etc. Just guitar.

Midnight and maybe that Headless Horseman song by Satch.

There are a few powertabs on here for acoustic solos by Yngwie; I wouldn't necessarily recommend learning these note-for-note, but they can probably give you a few ideas on how to construct your own unaccompanied solo.

And while he maybe isn't shred, Tommy Emmanuel's stuff is very good.

Tons of classical songs.

Outside the classical genre, the main ones that come to mind are Ocean and Eruption.

And I suppose part of the Heartbreaker solo...

I actually made this identical thread about a year ago :p:

Day at the Beach, Midnight, Forgotten Pt1 by Satriani (all using fingertapping technique)

Also, if you really want a carpal-tunnel challenge, Power Cosmic by Satriani (it's a very hard technique used, left-haned legato arpeggios, I'm kinda joking here).

Hmm...
