You know when threads get old and they fall of the pages so that when you search for them they aren't there anymore?

I was wondering, do these threads just go to oblivion and can never be found again?

I posted a couple of powertabs ages ago which i was kind of proud of, my computer crashed and we had to reformat the hard drive so they're gone from my PC and they don't show up when i check the old threads in the T and C forum.

Is there any chance that i could find them again?

Thanks, i know it's probably not possible but i felt i might aswell ask.

I think, although not 100% sure, That when older threads get "pruned" they get deleted forever.

1, be sure to add threads that are from "forever" (look at the bottom of your screen and it'll show that off first view, only ones from the past 30 days are visible.)
2, when they get "deleted", zapp has a backup that stores it. But I really doubt it'd be for public access like if you wanted to find an old thread you had or something.

Go to:

User CP
Edit Options
Default Thread Age Cutoff (halfway down page)
Select "Show all threads"

^ Naw, still doesn't work.

For example.

If you go to someone's profile and it says this:

Posts in forum: [ 10 ]

And then you click it, it'll say "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." if the posts are old.

I forget. Somebody posted a link to it about a year ago. I'm sure if you ask around somebody will know what/where it is. What exactly are you looking for?

Is the Pit really only as old as September 2005?

Or are the Pit threads from before 9/05 not on there?

Edit: Actually, nevermind. This index you posted is still missing a ton of threads from before late 2005. Oh well...

Maybe they really are lost forever :(

if you use the searchbar, you can find some really old stuff. for example, i searched for all threads with "Dimebag" in the title, went to the last page of the results, and found this thread, (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157897&highlight=dimebag) which is from early 05.
