Ok so I've been looking around for a new acoustic for the past bit cause i really don't like the feel or sound of my current one. I was at a local music store twice in the past few weeks and both times this guitar caught my eye. I played it and i REALLY like the feel and sound of it. What i was wondering is if any of you know what this guitar sounds like plugged in and if you think the quality is good. Thanks in advance.
Heres a link to it

Not a good idea. 500$ for a guitar without a solid top is a plain rip off. I recommend the Blueridge guitars for that range, but thats because I love blueridge =].

really?? Cuz i've been told that takamine are the best guitars for the value under $1000 several times. What's the solid top add exactly?
Edit: actually where does it even say it's not a solid top?

i agree that takamines are among the best in value..... but that doesn't mean there aren't exceptions. instead of that guitar, have a look at this one:
and you're right, it doesn't say that the guitar you are looking at isn't a solid top. here's the thing: it works the other way around. if a guitar is a solid top, it will always say it is. if it isn't a solid top then it will just say the kind of wood or it might say "select" or "special" or something before the kind of wood. if it doesn't say "solid" then it isn't solid.
just out of curiousity, what are you playing now and what don't you like about it?

Haha, jimtaka i was just looking at that guitar. I'll check it out see if a local shop has it maybe. Right now I'm playing a yamaha f-380 acoustic. I've always found it very difficult to play and the sound isn't really what i want. When I got it i didn't really know anything at all about guitars. And if any of you have any ideas for me, my price range is between $500 and $650ish.
i have an eg560c and i have no complaints with it .
