personally, i dont like metalcore but you seem to have written a solid metalcore track that reminded me of trivium (which can be seen as a compliment or insult depending on if you like Trivium)

It was an alright song. I have nothing against metalcore, and I in fact like it.

Some suggestions, though. First, I think it would sound better if you used the bass more. Maybe add some fills with the bass that accompany the drums. Bass innovation isn't highly demanded in metalcore, I know, but that doesn't mean a person can't experiment.

The solo was good, and so was the back-up harmonics with the 2nd guitar.

check mine out please.

Thanks for the crits guys.

Ok i went and r4edid the bass. I usually do have some interesting bass lines in my songs but i didnt really see this one as coming with any. I did try some out and it sounded good. Thanks :)

And i didnt really want it to turn out metalcore :s oh well, i like it so thats enouh for me :p:

It had some really good riffs, I'm not big on metalcore though. But, still some killer riffs. So, 7/10. Good work.

i love trivium and it sounded similar so i think its a really good tab. gratz

It was good except vor the verse riff which was ...not good :( .

EDIT: Just love the Chorus riff!
EDIT2: Only the first part of the verse riff was annoying, the 2nd half is much better.

You just really like harmonies don't you?

The solo is FANTASTIC.
Wish I could play like that :(.

i got the Trivium vibe as well. in spite of that ( :p: ), its not bad. you've got a talent for writing good melodic metal songs. i've seen another song or two of yours which had a more Bodomy feel to it, i guess. definitely good at what you do anywho :)

It's great, your harmonising works well, and the solo came off great, except for the whammy thing. I love the drumming, and the guitar worker really well with the bass.

Crit mine? (in sig)

most of it is extremely generic metalcore.
some parts are more metal, which is cool,
but overall, i'd say it's definately metalcore.
some of the riffs aren't that good, but
some are actually really cool. except.
you use harmonizing in the same way
throughout the whole song and that
kind of gets a bit old after a while.
like. the whole. playing the riff and then
playing the same riff except harmonized.
it's fine a couple of times, but you overuse it.

the song is good for what it is, which would be
a pretty generic metalcore song, but really,
is there any such thing as original metalcore?
i have yet to come across any metalcore that
i find to be really original and not generic at all.

Rules! The only thing I didn't like were the 16ths in the bass line. This is a bass guitar, it's not for shredding, dammit! xD But a great song overall.

some really beautiful riffs there man. the solo is great. tho i liked your other GP song better this one is pretty damn good aswell!
but as gobermans said, the way you use harmonizing does get a little repetitive after a while
i'd love to see you writing something else than metalcore next time XD!

plz cirt my second song: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=477025
