Hi everyone, I came up with this a little bit ago, but I'm stuck with it. I'm looking for some advice and maybe critique. Any thoughts on a time signature? Thanks :)

tempo: pretty fast
All tapping is with right hand.

------(B5)--Right Hand
E|--------|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------|---------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------|h12p4----h12p4-------h12p4-------h11p4-h12p4-h14p4--------|
A|0----h2|------h12p2----h12p2-------h12p2-----------------------------|
E|--------|---------------------------------------------------------------|

x2

then repeat as above, but with left hand on A5 chord.

Thoughts, suggestions?

Well, that's really hard to read. So, I have no clue.

I know...I can't figure out how to add spaces that will show up more than once consecutively.

Try using proper tabs (y)

or use code.

[ code ]
STICK YER TAB IN HERE

With no spaces.

Well there's no way to tell with just tab, unless you put like Q, H, W, E over the notes so we know what notes they are.

But if you're writing a rock song you're probably playing in 4, 4. Most pop or rocksongs are in 4, 4 meter.

I, however, tend not to write those types of songs and, therefore, do not confine myself to one meter.

I'm not sure what those are(Q,W,H, E) :( ...and I think it's in 5/4 or 6/4. It's definitely not in 4/4.

The way you play it is, you first fret a B5 on the A string. Then you tap the twelfth fret on the d string and pull off with your right hand. Then you tap the twelfth fret on the a string and pull off, and just follow the tab like that.

Q, W, H, E would be Quarter, Whole, Half, Eighth, etc. And we'd need to know the duration of each note in order to determine a time signature.

Oh, I see. I think I'll just try to make an MP3 of it tonight and post it.

The first measure is two half notes, and everything after that is eight notes.

Definitely not 4/4, 5/4, or 6/4. The first measure would be normal 4/4 timing. But, after that there is 18 eigth notes. So I would separate that into 2 measures with a 9/8 timing. Like this.

4/4 9/8

|-----------||------------------------|-----------------------|
|-----------||------------------------|-----------------------|
|-----------||------------------------|-----------------------|
|-----------||-12p4------12p4------12p|=4------11p4-12p4-14p4-|
|-0h===2----||------12p2------12p2----|---12p2----------------|
|-----------||------------------------|-----------------------|
