Pantera and Steve Vai? I have enough money leftover to buy 3 albums. I wanna get Metallica - And justice for all and I wanna get a Pantera and Steve Vai album. What albums should I buy from each? (1 each, not including metallica)

I don't listen to Steve Vai very much so I wouldn't know for him, but for Pantera, Vulgar Display of Power or Reinventing The Steel.

Steve Vai - Passion and Warfare. One of the more consistant shred/virtuoso guitar albums. Real Illusions is good, too, but be warned - it's part one of a trilogy, apparently.

To be fair, I've heard all the Pantera albums and settled for Reinventing Hell, their best-of. I can only take so much Pantera and I found their albums to be pretty inconsistant.
