I think their first hit was their cover of Not Fade Away. Not all that sure about biggest hit though, they had plenty.

Thanks man. Can you tell me what you think makes their sound unique? I don't listen to them and I'm running out of time.

Keith's edginess on the guitar, and jagger's voice and their biggest hit is probably satisfaction or start me up

Yeah, probably Jagger's voice and the unique use of rhythm by Keith Richards. Plus, the so called "weaving guitar" sound created by making two guitars sound like only one is playing.

Brian Jones' was a pretty unique guitarist so id say his playing (slide etc) made them pretty unique at the time

they were the first band to use a slide in popular music. they were the first "bad boys." And also, their first hit was actually "I wanna be your man," which was written for them by Lennon and McCartney.

no offense to anyone who answered here, but when writing an essay, would you really want to base your information on a forum? Look at tried and true sources
www.allmusic.com
or at least google them, you'll find much better (and accurate) information there as opposed to a forum

What made people listen is:

First bad boys
They were English, so they had an "Exotic" fell in America
Rhythm is unique
Jagger's voice
They were diffrent

She was the only one handing something in because she didn't before for whatever reason. And it wasn't a long report, she just procrastinated, hence the urgency of this thread.

Don't question me :peace:
