Alright, i just found out about this band. It's a combination of The Clash's bassist, The Verve's guitarist, and some people from Blur.

Sounds pretty good.

So behind the times :p:
They've got some good tracks and they've got some dull ones. However, the crappier ones may come off better on a CD/record, the live set from the BBC proms thing was just quite questionable in places. They haven't been as inventive as I hoped, but I still pre-ordered a vinyl version of the album for 16 (but it's limited to 300 copies, so probably worth the money).

Yeah, I've seen them live on the BBC a few times and they were pretty drab. Apart from a couple of highlights - Kingdom of Doom? - they sounded really uninspired.

Still, maybe the CD will be better... it's produced by Danger Mouse...

No, non-live stuff. Maybe not in its entirety, but tracks have appeared on blogs for months, and you can see on last.fm that people have been listening to them.

I don't understand the point in listening to leaks though, just wait a month for the ****ing thing.

I've loved the work of Paul Simonon and I'm interested in this band, right now. I'm listening right now. :)

You forgot Fela Kuti's drummer. That's the most important part, even though you can't really tell. That was how I heard about them. I'm a big fan of Fela.
