Ok sorry to Lazy fior the delay in this but meh it's summer ;)
Ok thought we'd go for a more classic riff this week as next week we have a cool modern riff from Lazy and last time we had Gay Bar so we should alternate.
This month you get...
Iron Maiden - The Trooper
First Part
e------------------------------------------------------
b------------------------------------------------------
g------------------------------------------------------
d------------------------------------------------5-----
a--7--7--7p5-----5--5--5p3------3--3--3p2-----5-----5--
E-------------7--------------5-------------3-----------
Second Part
TTTT TTTT
e-----------7------------------------------------------
b--8--7878-----8--7878--8-----------8------------------
g--------------------------9--9--7-----7--9------------
d------------------------------------------------------
a------------------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------
Then finishes on
e--------------
a--------------
g-----7--------
b--7--5--7--9--
a--5-----5--7--
E--------------
TTTT-Trill
This is more of an intermediate riff as the tempo is quite fast and the trills can be tricky. This is classic Maiden and this style, including the harmony guitar on the first part of the intro (untabbed) is very typical of them, especcially in the early 80's when the album Piece Of Mind was released containing this track.
I apologise now for the recording it's rushed :( but if you haven't heard the song you get the idea...
