I love Hilary Duff. A lot of the girls I hang out with listen to it so I got hooked after the 50 car rides with Come Clean blasting through my speakers.

But apart from that, I like Johnny Cash a lot.

I love Blink 182. Always will.

Yeah same. Also Sum 41. Blink and Sum 41 were the two bands that really got me into music. Pretty big Queen fan too (though I'm not really ashamed of it).

I think you guys should only name relatively "hardcore" guilty pleasures, like the thread started did with Saosin.

The rest are from other genres, and don't really make for "guilty pleasures" rather than diverse tastes.

jefflucas

I Killed The Prom Queen is really really generic but for some reason I like them.

01-23-2007, 10:57 PM
All of the bands that are called "crap" , "boring" , "lame" , "bad chug chug" on here- ABRB, Throwdown, Bury Your Dead, It Dies Today, JFAC, As I Lay Dying, Norma Jean, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Atreyu, Bring Me The Horizon..etc... (All of those "scene-core" bands). Blink 182, Maroon 5 (that is their name right?), Some new rap (I'm not ashamed that I listen to early 90's rap, thanks GTA:San Andreas, a few screamo/emo bands- Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Bayside, one Bedlight For Blue Eyes song, FATA, Thursday (they put on a damn good show and their bassist is awesome).

As I said before, my only real guilty pleasure is Bubba Sparxxx. But when it comes to hardcore, I guess some genercixcore bands, like august burns red, but I'm not really guilty about that.

Hah, have you heard any of the other "real" 60's garage rock revival bands? Like Kings of Leon?
My parents are friends with the brother's in that bands parents.

Anyway I guess a guilty pleasure that is somewhat close to hardcore would be Senses Fail.

Gomorrah
01-24-2007, 09:47 PM
Well if it was intended for relatively hardcore guilty pleasures, I'll give it a go.

The intro of The End of Heartache (song)
Thursday (only Full Collapse)
Darkest Hour
The Fall of Troy
Unearth - Black Hearts Now Reign
Evergreen Terrace - Sunday Bloody Sunday
Still Remains - I Can Revive Him With My Own Hands
Rise Against
Hopesfall - The End of an Era

I wouldn't feel guilty for liking Thrice.

I thought Wolfmother was supposed to be a revival of Led Zepplin style music? That's different than garage rock.

I can understand how you could feel guilty about Hopesfall's newer stuff, but The End of an Era is ****ing incredible along with the rest of No Wings to Speak of.

As for me, it would probably be Misery Signals.
