I was recently asked who the great rock legends from Scotland were. Alex Harvey, topped the bill. What do you think ?

Nazareth and Jethro Tull (Scottish songer), and this should be in B&A.

Jack Bruce. Showed that a wee Lanarkshire laddy could become the inventor of the uber - riff.

He's no Scot man

name pronounced "Gingah Baykah" by him so I don't think he's Scottish

Franz Ferdinand are the best band I've heard out of Scotland, and I think The View will be almost 'legends ' by the end of the year

You're right, yeah. I forgot whether it was Ginger Baker or Jack Bruce who came from Dumbarton. And I was too lazy to look it up earlier :P

To make up for it...

Bon Scott. He was born in Kirriemuir, but emigrated to Australia at 6.
The Young brothers were Glaswegians originally too.

And Franz Ferdinand aren't that great; they're a pretty basic Glasgow-indy band.
