Is there anyway i can put the serial number in on the Jackson website to find out what year and the model it is. I bought i from a pawnshop and all it says is jackson. I looked on the website but i didn't really find anything

I think some companies have a system to their serial numbers as well. Look at Jackson's support page to see if they have some sort of system.

If Jackson is anything like Ibanez you wont have much luck. I have emailed Ibanez many times for information regarding guitars and have never received a response! :(

The site list serial numbers for guitar but it just list what year and factory it was made in. It doenst list what model it is either. also all of the serial numbers they have are eight numbers and mine only has 7 numbers..... wtf

Well heres a quick run through that you might want to think of..

What is the body shape?
If its a strat, its either a dinky, or soloist.

Is it bolt on?

What is the pickup configuration?

With Cort's system, the first 2 numbers is the year.
eg. 02765656
That guitar was built in '02.

But the guitar isn't a Cort...

they're not. if anything, they'll be similar to the newer fender ones. but if it was made in japan, you're out of luck.
