Hey all, heres a song ive been working on for a while now, im going for an at the gates/darkest hour/darkane type of feel for it. Apologies for the click track and the lack of percussion/bass, they'll be coming as soon as i contact my drummer/bassist so we can work something out. Leave a link to your stuff and i'll be sure to crit it :)

From what I hear, this song seems like it would be great as just an instrumental. Just in case you were thinking of adding words or anything, I don't think it needs any.
I would suggest adding another solo, or making the one you have longer though. Adds more excitement.
But I must say that the whole time I was listening to that I was very entertained, nice work there.

The riffing is superb man, but the solo needs alittle work.
Totally stick with it!

that was sweet riffage the solo could maybe do with a little work but i liked it, you must have some arms on you to downpick that man  great stuff loved the main riff and the outro riff was quality but sometimes the harmonies sounded off maybe have another look at those?
if youve time check out mine in le sig

I don't think it was hard to downpick that, only 120 BPM? I agree though the solo needs work, but I give you props for writing it in 6/4.
Anyways my drummer liked it a lot so he took it and added drums to it. I'll post up the file when I get back home to show you, tell me what you think.

hehe can't ignore the cool riffs, very nice. Never slows down does it? Very good speed, and the riffs keep it moving forward. Good work.

the drums were way too busy man and distracting and they were out of time with teh guitar track at 44 . :(
and wtf was up with the drums in the solo, there was none wtf why would you do that  and there was a snare at 32nd thats faster than anyone could feasibly play very bad drums im sorry to say, id completely redo them threadstarter. ;)

Hey everyone, just a quick post cos i cant crit your stuff till i get back home (currently staying with a relative) but in regards to the drums that your drummer did Ascendancy...i REALLY appreciate the effort but they did seem a little off kilter and didnt appear to keep much rhythm...i'm also not sure why you put the track in standard....and what was going off during the solo?
Again i dont want to sound like an arsehole cos i do really appreciate the effort, its just not really what im after for the song, sorry
