I just painted my Squire strat and put it back together but now I have 6 black screws left over. I forgot where they came from and dont know where they go. I checked the whole guitar. There about 3/4" long and the only black screws in it. Its probably pretty obvious but does anyone know what the 6 screws are for.

They're probably the intonation screws for the saddles.

Are the ends of them flat or cone-shaped?

No. I checked all the obvious ones. The guitar is basically completely together except for the neck. I didnt take the tuners off so i know it isnt to them. Its not for the bridge saddles and it doesn't hols the bridge down. They're not for the pickguard or back plate. There black so I think they go on the inside. All the other screws are chrome on the outside.

Unless there for something else but thers 6

It appears you don't know either, so why are you posting?

I could repeat any of the above suggestions if so inclined, but I have no idea really. I'm holding my Squier right now, tempted to take it apart and see. I don't recall any black screws last time I opened it.
