Bad computer

Ok, I have a pretty bad computer and cheap gear (for now!) but i want to start recording some guitar stuff. I'm looking for someting that has inbult effects, drum machine and doesnt need a computer to run it. And fairly cheap in Australia.
I'm not looking for professional quality.

Suggestions?

boss makes a ton of standalone recorders. i know they have a bunch of drum patterns, but idk how programmable they are. and no idea about price in australia.

but im sure u could find one to fit your needs. then just some mics. a few of them even have decent built in amp models, so u can plug your guitar right in and not deal wiht micing it.

Yeah get one of the boss portable studio models - should fit the bill perfectly.
