ok i wanna play a dashboard song but here's how he descibed to tun from standard to Db Ab Db Db Db Db !

Tuning:

string 1: e tuned down 1 and 1/2 steps to d flat (db)
string 2: B tuned up 1 and 1/2 steps to d flat
string 3: G tuned down 2 and 1/2 steps to D flat (Db)
string 4: D tuned down 1/2 step to D flat
string 5: A tuned down 1/2 step to A flat (Ab)
string 6: E tuned down 1 and 1/2 steps to D flat

The result is that strings 1 and 2 have the same pitch and
strings 3 and 4 have the same pitch

Note: even though strings 1 and 2 will sound different in
loudness, but will be the same in pitch. Thus, you can
switch the fretting between them throughout the song, that is:

" here's my questin if i tune the B string up 1 1/2 steps then it makes it a sharp not a flat right?"

It would be a sharp, a C#..

but Db and C# are the same note. So it doesn't matter.

Hooray for enharmonics!
Same note, different way of saying it.

I'd be a little weary of tuning the B string up 1 1/2 steps. You can probably get it but going that far always makes me nervous.
