After digging around a bit, I found a new interview done by Megawords magazine. It gives a lot of insight on why Wes is the way he is and it explains what happened to his hand!

Saw this yesterday but I only read the part about his hand. I still haven't gotten around to reading the whole thing.

FINALLY I know what the deal is with his hand. I've read some ridiculous **** about it.

Anyways, he seems like a really intelligent person and I'd like to chill with him.

My favorite was that him and Jamey Jasta had a competition about who was more badass, Jamey cut off his thumb and Wes cut off his hand.

Sadly enough, the truth isn't as badass :(
