it's just an lower-priced range of guitars from esp. it's not an acronym. though, esp guitars is actually electric sound products, limited, so perhaps the ltd was derived from the "limited".

dont really know ltd
but there realy isnt a difference in them
like gibson and epiphone, fender and squier and that kind of thing

well i mean...are you sure esp owns ltd like fender has squire? those suckers are still high...at least mine was...it was like...$800...i aways refered to it when people ask me what guitar i have as an esp ltd...i always thought that ltd was just like a different branch...idk...i thought ltd was an acronym for something

ESP = Electric Sound Products.
LTD, I don't know. kinda silly to call them "limited" when they're less exlusive (and certainly not limited edition in any way). Maybe because they have limited capabilities compared to ESP's.
