I do Music in college, and I need to find a song that uses a 1-4-5 chord progression.

All I found was "Welcome to My Life" by Simple Plan

It's Punk... I want to find something more Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, but not too hard to play.

Give me some songs.

Only thing i can think of isn't really hard rock but still rock...

"Wild Thing"-Jimi Hendrix

The tab says it goes: A-D-E5

Louie Louie by The Kingsmen. I think part of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is I-IV-V too.

And Simple plan isn't punk.

Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop would be an obvious contender.

Wild Thing isn't Jimi Hendrix's song. But does in fact go through a I IV V progression.

I didn't say it was. I know it isn't. I was suggesting his cover of it. Thanks though. (i hate when people don't know the difference between cover songs and originals)

I IV V in D - Bad Moon Risin by CCR - also Up Around the Bend by CCR.

Used to Love Her - G'n'R - also I IV V in D.

Soooooo many songs that are entirely or mostly I IV V.

Easier to answer what songs *aren't* I IV V.
