I need a 4-5 song setlist with possible encore that would sound good with a guitarist and a bassist. Classic rock perferably.

it really depends if you have a drummer or not...

If worst comes to worst i'll sing. We could probably get a vocalist though.
I want songs that the crowd will know and recognise

No, we don't have one drummer in this city that isn't in a marching band.

I doubt it. Put up some flyers at music stores.

Really depends on the singers vocal abilities as to what makes a good choice right?
Set:
Thunderstruck - Ac/Dc
You Really Got Me Now - The Kinks
Working Class Hero - John Lennon
It's Only Rock N' Roll - Rolling Stones
Encore:
Keep On Rockin' In The Free World - Neil Young
EDIT: Well do the Neil Young and the John Lennon anyway...

Yeah, don't expect an encore if you don't have a drummer.
Bass moves the hips.
Drums moves the limbs.
...at least that's the way I've always looked at it.

What Tunings do you want, Standard? Dropped D?
Standard:
Paranoid - Black Sabbath
Back In Black - ACDC
You Really Got Me - The kinks (or if you're really good, the van halen version)
Ace Of Spades - Motorhead
Encore:
Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple.
All Staples in my opinion, and fun to play too.
Drop D
Dying in your arms - Trivium
Cochise - Audioslave
Killing in the name - RATM.
Slither - Velvet Revolver
More Contemporary. But good.
