what would be some good cover songs for a band with two guitar players and a singer with a mid to high range voice. Also I would want songs that I could improvise my own solos in. We play rock, blues, and old metal(megadeth, sabath, metalica) NO METALCORE.

Id love to hear someone do a cover of Ten Speed by Coheed and Cabria, as it shouldnt be too hard on your voice. And you could definately improvise a solo. Maybe try Rock You like a Hurricane by the Scorpions, that'd be awesome. Maybe Kickstart my Heart or Dr. feelgood by Motley Crue. Anything from Blue Oyster cult would be good, other than Dont Fear the Reaper. I really like the song, but its covered sooo much.

Master of Puppets? Any Metallica song really.

New Trivium as well.

Or just play Holy Diver.

Any Megadeth off of Rust in Peace will be badass , Only Metallica from the first 3 albums...maybe some off of the Black album and Black Sabbath - Paranoid , NIB , The Wizard , SweetLeaf , Children of the Grave...the list goes on and on. I'm in a band and we play the same type of music with a little Slipknot , Primus , Tenacious D , System of a Down , GWAR , Papa Roach , Kid Rock , Godsmack , , Pantera , Rage Against the Machine , Mudvayne , Buckcherry , so I hope that helps

well the current ideas's we've had is war pigs and santeria. The problem with santeria is it has only one guitar, and suggestions on how to add another? As for all the metal suggestions I wouldn't mind playing a metal song or two but we aren't really a metal band so I don't wanna do all metal song covers.

Just listen to it and find what key its in and have the other guitar player add in some picking or chords or something.

Peace Sells! Then when you play a gig, get the whole crowd to sing along to the 'Peace Sells, but who's buying?' part :)

Symphony Of Destruction would also be good to improvise your own solo, no doubt.

okay so there is an older my chemical romance song that is actually pretty catchy and i never hear done, and its not like their newer stuff, its a song called Teenagers and its more of a rock sounding song. It would be awesome to do!

I Will Survive - Cake

Easy guitar part, funky bassline, chorus everyone knows, it may well be the perfect cover song. purevolume.com/nationalcatfish

now, me and my band played some songs:

Band - Song

Rammstein - Ich will
Black Sabbath - Iron man
Die Ärzte - Tut mir leid
Bloodhound Gang - Ballad of Chasey Lain
Metallica - So What

i think for you, "So What" or "Ich will" are the best ones,
and i don't know if you like "Ballad of Chasey Lain" is always very cool for the audience, because everybody knows this song, perfect sing-along ;)
