I'm very new to Blues & Jazz, but I'm starting to get more interested into it. I'm a very big fan of rock metal and classical, but I'm very new to blues and jazz. Could someone please give me some advice on the names of people who I should listen to, and some famous songs that I might not know of. This would help me a lot thank you...

I'll post some links of some famous Blues Songs.

Death Letter Blues - Son House (

Cross Road Blues - Robert Johnson (

Sweet Home Chicago - Robert Johnson (

Spoonful Blues - Charley Patton (

Searching The Desert For The Blues - Blind Willie McTell (

Black Girl (also known as In The Pines)l - Leadbelly (Huddie Leadbetter) (

Georgia Rag - Blind Willie McTell (

Pony Blues - Charley Patton (

Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground - Blind Willie Johnson (

Lonesome Road - Lightnin Hopkins (

He Aroase From The Dead - Blind Lemon Jefferson (

That should do ya for a while.
Just look around.
I know nothing about Jazz so I'll let someone else do that, and all of that is Delta Blues (acoustic and very raw, guitar and voice orientated).

Happy New Year,
