I think that he is an amazing bassist. I really like his slap tone and his basslines in general. What about you?

He's the reason slap bass progressed through the 80's, really. His rhythm is very in the pocket, granted starting as a drummer is bound to help you there. He popularised the sale of Jaydee basses and Trace Elliot amplification and revolutionised the use of left hand slapping and machine gun triplets. He was the pinnicle of slap bass playing for a few years, which I guess is like your team winning the premiership for a few years straight, or your favourite driver winning the F1 world title a few years straight. So yeah, he's my favourite bass player, anyways. In fact, the reason I play bass.
