Just got the "you've been banned" page

Is UG one of those sites that classes AOL as one big IP or something? because every now and again I get to that page, and for five minutes I can't get on. Usually after 2 minutes or so, during which I check my E Mail account for any emails, I can get back on :eek:

Is it a common occurence for AOL users? :confused:

If you keep having trouble, switch to something else. AOL sucks. It counts you as part of one IP, it's expensive, and it is NOT user-friendly.

Look, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to change my internet provider because of your reasons. I like AOL, and I understand where everything is.

sorry, but AOL is pretty cruddy. well, using a router and outside of their browser (just DON'T install it) the service is alright at best, but the dynamic IP leaves alot to be desired, especially when sites IP ban :)

Gallagher, I suggest you use a proxy like vtunnel.com or a proxy program like Proxy way.

Your original IP is still viewable to the site's admins and it prevents that problem of the site possibly blocking AOL IP's :)

That's a bit annoying...I'll do it for awhile to see if it improves the situationt then =]
