I have the song Chinese Rocks but never heard the L.A.M.F. album. Is it worth listening to?

I've only heard 2 songs, but it would be a good album even if those were the only 2 good songs (which I'm sure they aren't).

It's one of the best punk albums ever recorded, in my opinion. I like the Heartbreakers a lot more than his solo work. Something about the band element really put Johnny at his prime.
Get it.

Chinese rocks is pretty much the weakest song on the whole album.

It's more than worth listening to, just buy the damn thing. If you like punk and rock n' roll you would be a fool not to like it.

It will actually do the opposite of breaking your heart, ironically.
It will make your life worth living.

What style of punk are they? I've heard of them, you guys say they're good, but I'm too lazy to pause what I'm listening to...

proto-punk, or glam punk.

proto-punk, or glam punk.
not really proto...they are a '77 band
more like punk rock with a rock n' roll feel to it.

They weren't especially extravagant, either, but they were very rock 'n' roll orientated.
One could arguably use those descriptions providing they aren't taken literally.
