Anyone else listen to these guys? I recently bought Transitions by them and I love it.

ive heard of them before but never actually heard them... what do they sound like?

02-26-2008, 10:17 PM
They have a nice two tone sound. I like them. Their vocalist has an excellent voice

They are a very very calm, slower ska band. They almost have a bit of soul influence in their music.

Or, a lot of soul influence.

Yeah, I guess so. I guess I kinda made an understatement there...

They're pretty darn good.

They're really good, I saw them with The Slackers and skanked my ass off.

They are really, really good. Makes me smile. They are on the setlist for Warped Tour! It's going to be amazing.

By the way, does anyone know where I can find the guitar and/or bass tab for When I Die? My friend wants to learn that song and wants me to learn the bass line.

Its tough to find westbound tabs seeing that they are such a small band.

01-16-2009, 01:19 AM
Yeah. But still, someone should be able to tab it out, not me cause I have enough trouble playing other people's music let alone figuring it out. Only reason why I can play along with Reel Big Fish is cause alot of their stuff is in C major/A minor.

I love Westbound Train. Although I will say I haven't listened to them in maybe over a year. I'll get on that right now.

01-17-2009, 12:32 AM
Do they even tour anymore?

I can't find any info on their Myspace or on Hellcat or on their site.

01-17-2009, 12:47 AM
they played a show in Boston the weekend after thanksgiving that i went to...other then that i dont know much. Ska tours in general have really gone down, Catch 22 didn't even do their ball drop tour that the've been doing for over 10 years now i think.

You guys, i think it finally happend, ska might be dead.

01-17-2009, 08:00 PM
i heard them on the ska is dead Comp

their singer has an amazing voice

01-17-2009, 08:07 PM

In fact that is blasphemy and you shall be punished. Ha ha ha. Just kidding. Ska isn't dead yet. There will always be a ska band somewhere.

So these guys are coming out with a new CD on April 21st and I'm pretty pumped for it. And they also have a whole slew of new tours mostly east of the mississippi.

A genre of music can't die.

They're gonna be at Warped Tour this year... should be fun
